Explained for every age
For kids (7–11)
We all go through stages: we start as a baby inside the tummy, then we are children, teenagers, adults and, with luck, grandparents. In each stage the body changes and we learn new things.
For teens (12–16)
The human life cycle is usually divided into stages: prenatal life, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. Each one has its own physical, mental and social changes, and also different health care needs. The exact ages vary between people and cultures; what matters is understanding what the body needs at each moment.
Pre-Med (17+)
Human development covers biological, cognitive, emotional and social changes throughout life. Classical theories of development describe it in stages, although today great individual variability is recognized, influenced by genetics, nutrition, environment and the social determinants of health. From a public health perspective, each stage has priorities: prenatal care, growth and vaccination in childhood, mental and sexual health in adolescence, prevention of chronic diseases in adulthood and functional ability in old age.
